In addition to maintaining an environment friendly to business, I believe that we must insure that our environment is conducive to the safe and healthy development of our citizens.

GOALS

• Encouragement of further research to determine the cause of the pfisteria within the bodies of water surrounding the peninsula
• Passage of legislation to address the problem of pfisteria once the cause is determined
• Encouragement of a continuation of both the control of nutrients through the use of volunteer methods and technical assistance from the Cooperative Extension Service
• Continued maintenance of safe environmental standards by our governments and businesses
